District Forester
The Leelanau Conservation District is seeking a District Forester under the Forestry Assistance Program (FAP). FAP provides private landowners and local units of government with technical information and guidance on the use and management of their forestry, wildlife habitat, and related natural resource concerns.
CTAP Technician
The Leelanau Conservation District is seeking a CTAP Technician under the Conservation Technical Assistance Program. The technician will carry out the program in Leelanau and Benzie Counties and deliver outcomes for both the Michigan Agriculture Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP) and the Regenerative Agriculture Program (RAP). MAEAP helps farms of all sizes, and all commodities, voluntarily prevent or minimize agricultural pollution risks. RAP provides farmer education on assessing and improving soil health and connecting to new market opportunities.
