LCD offers technical assistance to all community members by way of on-site visits, workshops, and field days.  District staff are available to meet with landowners to address land-specific needs or concerns while workshops and field days offer attendees an opportunity to learn about a specific topic or skill. In an effort to promote native habitat and support conservation efforts, LCD holds three plant sales during the year—Spring Seedling Sale (April), Native Plant Sale (May), and Fall Conifer Sale (October).  Each sale features native plants well-adapted to the northern Michigan climate while also providing vital habitat to wildlife, especially birds and insects.  Click below to view the current plant sale or when the next one begins.
